Thursday was the opening night of the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock Showdown at the Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La. Drivers battled through Qualifying and a Quick Time Dash to determine the night’s pecking order.

In the first qualifying round, C.J. Howell from Dry Prong charged to the top spot, while the second qualifying heat saw Mark Underwood Jr. from Ruston dominate.

As the dust settled in the Quick Time Dash, Craig Pursley of New Waverly, Texas, surged to the front.

The night’s action set the tone for a high-stakes weekend, with Friday adding ProMods and Tuners, and Saturday bringing USRA Limited Mods, Street Stocks and Crate Late Models to the card

Hot laps happen at 7 p.m. both nights with racing to follow.
