Hulsey, Sandy sporty in Vado victories

Vado Speedway Park in Vado, N.M., welcomed the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series on Saturday with fierce competition in the USRA Modified and USRA Stock Car divisions. Fans packed the stands to witness a night of intense racing across the two classes.

In the USRA Modified feature, C.J. Hulsey from El Paso, Texas, led from the start to secure the victory. Hometown hero Stormy Scott took second, followed by the father-son duo of Fito Gallardo and Jake Gallardo in third and fourth. Terry Tipton from Duncan, Ariz., rounded out the top five.

The USRA Stock Car feature saw Hunter Sandy from Albuquerque, the current USRA B-Mod national points leader, charge from 14th to take the win. Devan Smith finished second, with Jonathan Burton in third. Brian Kleine earned fourth, and Sherman Barnett from El Paso, Texas, completed the top five.
