Wilhite, Elliott, Hancock headline Tulsa's 3rd Annual Spring Chiller

Christopher Wilhite won the USRA Modified main evnet.
The Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Speedway roared to life on Saturday night with the 3rd Annual Spring Chiller, part of the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series.
Fans were treated to thrilling dirt track action across in all three classes—USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, and USRA Tuners—with standout performances from the top finishers in each division.
In the USRA Modifieds, Christopher Wilhite of Chandler led wire-to-wire in the feature race and pocketed $800 for his efforts. Starting from the pole position, Wilhite held off a strong challenge from Jeffrey Kaup of Woodward, who climbed from fourth to secure second place.
Chris Lewis of Springdale, Ark., rounded out the podium, finishing third after starting second.
Wilhite’s victory capped a stellar night that also saw him take the heat race win on the Tulsa dirt.
The USRA B-Mods delivered a nail-biter of a feature with Robert Elliott of Clinton emerging victorious after starting second. Elliott fended off a hard-charging Jeffrey Kaup, who once again impressed by finishing second after starting fourth.
The surprise of the night came from Nathan Hagar of Adair, who surged from ninth on the grid to claim third, thrilling the local crowd with his late-race heroics.
Elliott’s win followed a dominant heat race performance, while Trey Eberle of Tulsa took the other heat win but settled for fifth in the feature.
The USRA Tuners saw Collinsville's Cale Hancock of take the feature win after starting fourth before outpacing a field filled with family rivalries.
Braxton Brownlee of Weleetka finished second after starting third, while his brother Connar Brownlee completed the podium in third from the second starting spot.
The Brownlee brothers showcased their skills all night, with Braxton winning Heat 1 and Connar finishing second in Heat 2 behind Jason Weber of Enid. Their father, Shawn Brownlee, started eighth in the main event and followed his sons to the finish line in fourth place.
The 3rd Annual Spring Chiller brought together racers from Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas, showcasing the region’s deep dirt track talent pool.
Jeffrey Kaup’s double podium finishes underscored his versatility, while the Brownlee family’s strong showing in the Tuners added a heartwarming storyline to the evening.
The Friday Night Lights Season Opener happens March 28 at the Osage Casino & Hotel Tulsa Speedway with the same three USRA divisions headlining the action. 305 Sprints, Factory Stocks and Dwarf Cars round out the six-class card.
