Shadren Turner won the USRA Modified main event.

Mother Nature got one on us last week, but it was back to business as usual Saturday night at I-35 Speedway with some of the best racing we’ve seen all season.

Adam Dunwoodie pulled away early and established a lead, but Chris Wright made his way through the field to make it interesting.

Wright had car trouble while leading in his heat but would not be able to catch Dunwoodie in feature.

In the USRA Stock Cars, Chris Dishong held off Kristchon Hisel late to score another feature win.

Trouble for polesitter Chris Mercer sent him to the back early, but he was able to recover and finish fourth.

The USRA Modifieds had some of their best racing all year.

We don’t often mention the results of heat races, but the first heat was one of the best this season.

Richard Layne held off Shadren Turner, Houston Johnson and Tyler Hibner to win, with all four cars seven car-lengths apart.

Turner pulled away in the feature with Hibner closing late as lapped traffic made it close at the end, but Turner held on to win.
