Aaron Marrant won the USRA B-Mod main event.

Special thanks to all drivers, crews, fans and staff for a great night at Lakeside. Special thanks to Tim Gifford for a moving invocation and Natalie for the performance of our National Anthem.

Heat race winners in USRA Stock Cars were Nick Whalen, Jaylen Wettengel and Kacey Shields, and those three put on one of the best shows of the night racing two- and three-wide pushing driver and machine to the very limits.

Wettengel got to the front and appeared to be the car to beat until mechanical issues forced him from the feature.

Shields took the lead with a very fast and former track champion Darrin Schmidt trying to reel in the leader.

Chris Dishong led early and tried to mount a charge in the closing laps to no avail with last week’s winner, Brent Fielder, challenging.

The big mover of the feature was Gerald Wahwahsuck as he had to tag to the rear of the field after an on-track caution and then marched back to the front.

Shields celebrated with family and friends in Nextran Victory Lane with an impressive win with Schmidt second and Dishong third. Fourth went to Fielder with Wahwahsuck a solid fifth.

With one of the best USRA B-Mod divisions you could ever want to see, heat winners were Stephen Clancy, Tim Karrick and Chad Clancy.

Shadren Turner charged to the front with Stephen Clancy racing side-by-side for the top spot.

Karrick and Kerry Davis battled, with Davis having to retire from the feature and out of contention.

Turner led as Aaron Marrant made his presence felt and passed Turner for the lead only to see the caution on the track.

As the green flag was once again displayed with Turner in the lead, Marrant worked the low side to perfection and got around Turner for the lead and never relinquished it.

Marrant claimed the win in Nextran Victory Lane with Turner a close second and Stephen Clancy third.

Fourth belonged to the big mover of the race, John Baker , with Karrick rounding out the night’s top five finishers.
