NKF Heartland Tour for a Cure ready to invade Cresco
CRESCO, Iowa (June 13, 2001) - The National Kidney Foundation Heartland Tour for a Cure will visit the Cresco Speedway on Thursday night, June 21st, for a night of action-packed dirt track Modified and Hobby Stock racing for a great cause.
The Heartland Tour for a Cure is now in its fourth season of providing race fans with on-track action while raising money to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by kidney disease. Volunteers from the Mayo Dialysis Unit in Decorah will be at the Cresco Speedway to assist with the event with proceeds from the fifty/fifty raffle going directly to the unit for patient assistance. The Heartland Tour for a Cure has also been nationally recognized for its efforts to communicate the early signs of kidney disease and the importance of early detection.
The NKF Tour is proud to be a part of the Mighty Howard County Fair for the fourth straight year. Modified drivers will be gunning for a $600 top prize while the Hobby Stock feature winner will take home a $300 check. Stock Cars will also be in action with $400 going to the feature winner. Come out early, enjoy the fair and be ready for racing at 7:00 p.m.
