New winners emerge in USRA divisions at Creek County Speedway
KELLYVILLE, Okla. -- New winners emerged in USRA racing action at Creek County Speedway on Saturday. Veteran Glen Passmore of Afton captured the USRA Champ Sprint feature while Steve Lacy of Jenks cruised in USRA RHS Modified action.
Passmore led all the way in the 20-lap USRA Champ Sprint main and was chased by Ricky York. York closed in and tried to find passing room down low on Passmore with two laps remaining, but Passmore held his line for the win. Keith Bolton and Brian McClelland finished third and fourth respectively. McClelland moved into the track point lead and now also leads USRA track and National sprint car points.
Lacy started outside front row and stayed there to win the USRA Modified main over Leroy Cook who was making his first start of 2011. Defending champion Ho Dean finished third.
The next points show at CCS is Saturday, May 14. Racing has returned to a 7 p .m. start for the summer. Gates open at 4. Visit CCS on the web at www.creekspeedway.com for ticket and additional information.
