KELLYVILLE, Okla. -- Due to the threat of rain racing on Saturday racing moved to Sunday and 87 competitors showed up to race on a warm sunny day.

After finishing last in the season-opening USRA Champ Sprint feature, Jerrod Wilson led start-to-finish in Sunday's main event.

Wilson shot into the early lead from his pole starting position and held a tight line around the dusty sun-bleached track. Ricky York stayed on Wilson's back bumper, but was unable to pass.

On lap 12 Wilson came up on lapped traffic and York pulled alongside, but Wilson managed to get around the lapped car first and York fell back to second.

Jamie Passmore worked his way toward the front and challenged York for second on lap 16. York fought him off but Passmore finally got past with two laps remaining to finish second while York finished third.

Matt French survived a dry slick track and a race filled with yellow flags to win the USRA RHS Modified main event.

Ron Gould Jr. led the first two laps before spinning. That allowed French to take over the lead on the restart and held his line for the win.

First week winner Colby Artherton raced into second early but hit the front straight guard rail on the lap three restart and restarted on the back. Artherton charged his way through the back to finish third behind second place Chris Spencer.
