Lucas Oil Speedway awards banquet set for Nov. 19


Lucas Oil Speedway's annual night of celebration has been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19, with the 2022 post-season awards banquet at Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozark, Mo.

Track champions and the top 10 drivers in each of the four Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series divisions will be honored at the banquet with several other specialty award winners also unveiled.

Tickets for the event are $40 and must be reserved by Oct. 28 by sending an RSVP to Lucas Oil Speedway Admissions Director Nichole McMillan at (417) 282-5984 or by email at nichole@lucasoilspeedway.com.

Fans also are welcome to attend. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour at 6 and invocation at 7, with dinner and awards to follow. An after-party will be held at the H-Toad, located on the upper floor.

Awards also will be presented for Most Popular Driver, Best Appearing Race Car and the Forrest Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award. The Most Popular Driver Award will again be selected in online fan voting that already is underway. Voting is limited to one per email address.

Summit USRA Nationals nears: The 9th Annual Summit USRA Nationals happens Monday through Saturday, Oct. 3-8, at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

The biggest event on dirt will kick off with an open practice on Monday, and then racing will take place every night from Tuesday through Saturday. All eight USRA-sanctioned classes will participate at one time or another during the six-day event.

The Summit Shootout also returns this year and will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and feature USRA track champions and Summit Shootout qualifying race winners to compete in this one-of-a-kind blockbuster battle royale for Modified, Stock Car, B-Mod and Hobby Stock competitors.
