Jason Cummins won the USRA Modified main event.

The Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series was in action Friday night at the Chateau Speedway in Lansing, Minnesota.

A new track record was set in the USRA B-Mod class as Scott Demmer of Ellendale reset the standard with a 16.286-second lap during the night.

Demmer backed up his time with a clean sweep as he scored the heat win and ran away with the feature win for his first of the year.

Ty Griffith of Webster City, Iowa, visited the track for the first time this year and went home as the runner-up in the main event as he out-dueled Noah Grinstead of Austin for the spot.

Grinstead picked up the other heat win.

Jason Cummins dominated the French’s Repair USRA Modified feature for his fourth win of the year.

Aaron Benson of Clear Lake, Iowa, out-gunned Joel Alberts of Mantorville for second.

Cummins also had a heat win, giving him a sweep for the second time this year. Jayden Larson of Mankato had the other heat win.

Next week the track will have fireworks show, and in two weeks it will be Kids Night featuring car rides at 6:15 p.m. along with bicycle giveaways and ice cream treats for those 12 and under.
