It is the McCarthy Autogroup Fireworks Spectacular Racin’ For Rian Special. In addition to the magnificent racing on the track the night will end with the annual Fireworks Spectacular Fire in the Sky.

Before we get to fireworks it is the race friends of Bud Wilson want to win. This is the 10th annual Racin’ for Rian in honor of Bud and Amanda Wilson’s baby girl who only lived a few hours after her birth. Racing and Fireworks this Saturday, you will want to be there.

The history behind Racin’ for Rian. In 2010, Bud and Amanda Wilson lost baby Rian, who was born 4 months early. They had her for a total of 30 hours. What they did not realize was Saint Luke’s hospital had a family fund. This fund, controlled by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provided a package of their lost daughter. Instead of bringing home a baby they brought home a package which included a lock of her hair, pictures of her in a dress which are donated by one of the nurses, and other items. In turn the Wilson family started this tradition and with the help of race fans have donated approximately $20,000 to the St. Luke’s NICU.

Racing action begins at 7 p.m. Pit gates open 3 hours before race time and the grandstands open 30 minutes after the pit gates open. This is a special event race so admission prices are $20 for Adults, $15 for Seniors (62 and older) and Military, and as always, those 18 and younger (ID may be requested) are Free.
