I-90 Speedway looking ahead after rain out

HARTFORD, S.D.—One more heat and Saturday night would've counted as a complete show at I-90 Speedway. However, as the sprint xars took to the track the National Weather Service warned that heavy rain was less than 10 minutes away. The decision was made to send the cars to the outfield so that everybody could load and spectators could get to their vehicles. Sure enough, a heavy downpour followed resulting in the season's third rain out.

Long time racer Dennis Martin of Mitchell, S.D., leads the USRA B-Mod points standings by 14 over Andrew Ahlers. Ahlers is in his first full season of USRA B-Mod racing at I-90 Speedway and has been a consistent runner.

Defending USRA Hobby Stock National Champion Dustin Gulbrandson is again leading the national points. He's also leading the I-90 Speedway USRA Hobby Stock points by 42 over Brian Hoing. It's the largest points gap among I-90 Speedway's five classes.
