Four first-time national champions in four divisions have been crowned for 2013 in the USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Rules for the 2014 USRA Weekly Racing Series are complete and are available on the USRA website, officials from the United States Racing Association announced today.

Drivers in the two open-wheel divisions are locked in tight battles with razor-thin margins that will come down to the final night of racing while the leaders in the two full-fendered divisions have simply to wait until Oct. 20 to be crowned USRA national champions.

Mason Daughters of Polo, Mo., captured his first Iron Man Challenge victory Thursday night in the 20-lap USRA B-Mod main event the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo.

The Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA B-Mods will be back in action this week with stops at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo., on Thursday, Aug. 22, and the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday, Aug. 23.

The Iron Man featuring USRA B-Mods will join the USMTS Modifieds on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Mo.

Jason Thompson started on the pole and finished at the front of the field to take home the USRA Modified feature win. In the USRA B-Mod division, Brad Smith logged another win.

The third time was, in fact, not the charm for an Iron Man Challenge show at the Valley Speedway and the event slated for Thursday, May 16, has been canceled.

It would appear that the new Grain Valley City Administrator is targeting Valley Speedway.

In USRA Modified action, 14-year-old Trevor Hunt held off Kyle Westerhold and Aaron Marrant for the opening night win while Shad Badder took home the win in the USRA B-Mod main event.

The fourth season of the USRA Iron Man Challenge will kick off the 2013 campaign as the USRA B-Mods join the USMTS Modifieds at the Humboldt Speedway on Friday, March 8, and the Valley Speedway on Saturday, March 9.
