FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. - Images on Metal sponsored the evening as the USMTS Modifieds returned to the Mississippi Thunder Speedway while rookie Jake Timm led flag to flag for his first big win in the USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods.

The USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mod feature ignited as Jake Timm took the early lead over Jacob Bleess. Shaun Walski, Parker Hale and Troy Langowski followed the leaders. Walski made a move high around Bleess for second when Hale looped it in turn four and resulted in multiple cars everywhere. Langowski shot out of the chaos only to make contact with Ben Anderson. After Anderson jumped up on Langowski’s front right, Anderson made hard contact with the front stretch wall which ended his night. A restart later, Langowski zipped around Bleess for third as he chased Walski down. Timm continued a strong lead when a spin in turn two brought out the red light. As Tyler Creeley was in mid-spin, he was T-boned hard in the driver’s door. Reports indicated all drivers involved were uninjured. Timm again led the restart with a persistent Walski tailing him. Langowski held off Kylie Kath who had jumped into fourth ahead of Bleess. After a couple more cautions, Timm remained in the top spot. Walski closed in on Timm for the lead, but it would not be enough to get the win. Timm collected his first feature win as a rookie as he headed to victory lane. Walski, Langowski, Brandon Hare and Kath finished out the top five.

Season championship time is now upon us and Friday, Aug. 27, will be the night to crown the 2010 champions for all classes. And don’t forget the big $10, 000-to-win show for the first USRA Modified Nationals which will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11. The Fall Festival will finish the season in October.
