Monogram Meat Snacks Slaytona Shootout set for July 23 at Murray County Speedway


SLAYTON, Minn. - The Murray County Speedway in Slayton, Minn., will be hosting the Monogram Meat Snacks Slaytona Shootout for USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars on Friday, July 23. The event was originally slated for June 11 but was postponed due to rain.

The first-place prize will be $500 plus a large trophy. Trophies will be presented to the top three feature race finishers plus Hard Charger, Lap Leader and Hard Luck Awards.

Payout: 1. $500, 2. $400, 3. $300, 4. $250, 5. $200, 6. $175, 7. $150, 8. $125, 9. $110, 10. $100, Tow $90.

All USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars as well as IMCA-legal stock cars are welcome to compete. There will be no car registration for new cars.

The event will be a draw-redraw format. The driver fee will be $35 and the pit crew entry fee will be $30.

Also on the racing card will be USRA RHS Modifieds, USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks competing for track and national points in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series, plus Sportsmans and Hornets.

Pit gate opens at 5 p.m. and grandstands open at 6. Hot laps begin at 7:15 with racing to follow.
