Rain cancels show at Mississippi Thunder Speedway
FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – Night two at Mississippi Thunder Speedway sponsored by RE/MAX Results was called off in the late afternoon on Friday, April 23.
The impending showers prompted promoter Bob Timm to make the call to alleviate drivers and fans from making a haul to the track only to turn around and go home.
The score is tied: MTS one, Mother Nature one.
Opening night Driver of the Week was named, but you will have to join us at the track to find out who that driver is.
Racing will resume Friday, April 30, with the first full show which will include the Rivercity Manufacturing USRA RHS Modifieds and EngineStore.com USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods, plus Winona Auto Sales WISSOTA Super Stocks, Jailhouse Saloon WISSOTA Street Stocks, Oak Ridge Fabrication 600 Mini Mods, Junior and Senior Midwest Mini Mods and WISSOTA Late Models.
Racing starts at 6 p.m. for the Mini Mods and 7 p.m. for the other classes.
