HUMBOLDT, Kan. – It took a while, but Mother Nature finally agreed to cooperate and the 2010 season at the Humboldt Speedway officially began on Saturday night.

Six-time track champion Justin “Whitey” Folk of Iola turned in a stellar performance in the USRA RHS Modified feature and once again showed that he will be a dominant force at ‘The Hummer’ this year.

Folk stormed into the lead early in the race and was never really seriously challenged, although Fort Scott’s Brian Bolin of was a strong runner-up.

Smooth as always, Scott Daniels of Humboldt captured third while Jess Folk Jr. wrestled an ill-handling ride to fourth in the 23-car field.

Fifth in the event went to Rodney Sigg of Iola.
