Ark-La-Tex Speedway kicks off 2022 with USRA American Racer Modified Series

With the ending of the 2021 season, changes are being made at the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La.

Weekly racing will highlight the 2022 season as well as a shift in ownership, and Ralo Pilkington will take over the reigns for the 2022 campaign. With years of experience behind the wheel, Pilkington will offer a new perspective at the venue.

“We are excited to hit the ground running at Ark-La-Tex," Pilkington said. "Gene Boyter has built a legacy in the region and we plan to continue to build on that.

“The 2022 season is already taking shape. We will continue to work to provide the best three-wide racing action for our drivers, crews, fans and marketing partners. This track is known for marquee events and exceptional track conditions. That will continue to be the standard going forward.”

The season is set to get underway with a doubleheader weekend featuring the USRA American Racer Modified Series presented by Day Motor Sports on Friday and Saturday, March 18-19.

Weekly racing will fire off the following weekend.

“We are excited to bring weekly racing back to the Speedway," Pilkington added. "We will continue to provide our special events in conjunction with our weekly racing schedule. Our goal is to provide quality, weekly entertainment for everyone involved.”

A full schedule of events will be released in the coming weeks.
