Originally slated for July 30 but interrupted by Mother Nature, the Sports Park Raceway driven by Kemna Auto of Fort Dodge will host Season Championships on Friday, August 27.

All five Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series divisions will be in action including USRA Modifieds, Medieval USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners.

In conjunction with Season Championships, the track will pack the entertainment value in for the fans with a Tuff Truck Challenge. Hot lap times will move back to 7:30 p.m. and the trucks will be running their first passes before the start of the racing program. Then at intermission they will have their finale. They will be running on the infield so it will not interfere with the racing surface.

In the USRA Modifieds, Chase Ellingson of Iowa Falls clings to a 23-point lead over Waterloo racer Devon Havlik. Similarly, Myles Michehl leads fellow Fort Dodge driver Bill Crimmins by just 21 points heading into the Medieval USRA Stock Car finale while Ty Griffith of Webster City sits 15 points ahead of Jason Bass in the USRA B-Mods points battle.

Jeremy Crimmins of Fort Dodge has a big lead over Drew Barglof of Sioux Rapids, and just needs to take the green flag in his heat race to sew up the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock title. Meanwhile, the tightest points battle is in the USRA Tuner division where Breanna Ades of Rippey leads the way by a mere four points over Humboldt's Jade Lange. Desiree Sells of Fort Dodge is third—only 31 markers out of first place.
