“Junior” wins Folk family fight at Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Kan. - Jess Folk Jr. topped the USRA Modified class as weekly racing action resumed Saturday night at the Humboldt Speedway.
Folk started on the pole with his younger brother Justin "Whitey" Folk on his outside. "Whitey" jumped out to an early lead, but "Junior" found a groove on the lower side of the speedway to catch and pass his younger brother in the closing laps of the feature.
Justin finished second and John Allen was third.
Racing returns to the normal Friday night program on April 10 with a $1,000-to-win USRA Modified feature as the main attraction. The green flag flies at 8 p.m.
