Doug Keller won the American Racer USRA Stock Car main event.

Smokin Hot racing was the best way to describe racing at I-35 Speedway on Saturday June 6, 2020. Eight classes of exciting racing amongst a great field of competitors. The talent in all these classes is among the best in the Midwest. Congratulations to all our competitors.

The competition was mighty in the USRA B-Mod class. On any given night there are a dozen competitors who might bring home the trophy. Heat race number one was claimed by Shadren Turner. Heat race two was a battle from the drop of the green with Daniel Harris and Tyler Cadwallader battling out front and lurking immediately at their bumper was Jake Richards and Ethan Isaacs. Richards got the win which set up a dandy of a feature.

The heat ,race winners led the field to the green and when the checkered fell it was Jake Richards with his third win. Second was Shadren Turner, followed closely by Ethan Isaacs, Tyler Cadwallader, Corey Myers, Nic Hanes, and Daniel Harris. We list the top seven because that is how close they were at the finish, thank you for transponders.

The man to beat in the USRA Stock Cars, Doug Keller, did it again. Won the heat and won the feature. In a race for second it was Tony Manley edging Jeff Dixon and a fast closing Austin Bouzek. Fifth went to the other heat winner, Greg Keuhn.

The USRA Modifieds put on a dazzling race show. Heat race winners were Chad Lyle and Darren Shaw. This twosome made up the front row coming to the green. Shaw jumped out to the lead and never relinquished it, at the same time he had numerous challenges from Lyle, Mark Dotson, Lee Hibner, and Tyler Hibner.

When all was said and done it was Shaw, grabbing his first win of the season then Lyle, L. Hibner, Dotson, and T. Hibner.

Darren Shaw won the USRA Modified main event.

Week 5 is now history to the 2020 racing season. Week 6 brings the wingless sprint cars along with the weekly classes on June 13. Looking forward to more great racing as we continue the 2020 season.

Now that we are off and racing the I-35 Speedway 2020 racing schedule has minor changes but super exciting announcements. June is packed full of fun starting with weekly racing this Saturday, June 13. On June 20, the 2nd Annual Finish Strong Mike Tanner Memorial will be held, $1,500 to win the USRA Modified feature. Finally, the month will close with the 9th Annual Racin' for Rian, originally scheduled for July 4 now moved to June 27. Also Saturday, June 27, I-35 Speedway will honor the 2020 graduates during intermission with our Senior Salute.

July brings more racing fun! The two-day July 10 and July 11 schedule is now the Show Me Shootout Weekend Special culminating in the Show-Me Stock Car Shootout on July 11. Racing on Saturday will be the USRA Modifieds, USRA B-Mods, and culminating with the $3,000 to win, $2,000 for second, $1,000 for third sensational Show Me Stock Car 30 lap Shootout.

July 10 will also be a Central Auto Racing Boosters (C.A.R.B.) Night at the Races. Members of this great organization will get in free by displaying their membership card. Other special nights on the schedule include the Kaster Celebration (July 18), Asphalt Racers Reunion (July 25), Kids Night (August 1), the 5th Annual Smokin Trackside BBQ Bash (August 7 and 8).
