Rain foils I-44 Speedway reopening

LEBANON, Mo. - The much-awaited reopening of the high banks of the I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., was foiled by rain on Saturday, June 28.

After high reviews after the Thursday night practice session, a large field of cars were expected but Mother Nature has moved racing back another week.

The I-44 Speedway will be busy this coming week. On Thursday night, July 3, the Speedway will play host to a special Late Model Challange event as the newly-formed AllState Insurance DLRA Late Models will challange the O'Reilly MARS Late Models, along with USRA Modifieds and Factory Stocks in special paying races.

Admission will be $15 in the grandstands and $20 in tier for adults.

Then on Saturday night, July 5, the I-44 Speedway will feature a special fireworks show along with UMP Late Models, Bombers, Factory Stocks, B-Mods and 305 Winged Sprints.
