Bud Wilson Memorial on tap at I-35 Speedway
This Wednesday we remember 18 years ago on September 11, 2001, and the heroes who lost their lives that day. This Saturday we remember the 2017 Out-Pace USRA B-Mod track champion Bud Wilson. We remember his life and, in his passing, we remember him as an organ donor so others could live.
This Saturday, September 14, is Scobee Powerline Night and the Bud Wilson Memorial. Wilson's family is selling T-shirts and other memorabilia in his honor. Proceeds will benefit the Midwest Transplant Network.
In competition will be the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series fetauring USRA Modifieds, American Racer USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods plus Sport Compacts, Pure Stocks, E Mods, Late Models and Midwest Lightning Sprints.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6:20 p.m. and racing at 7. Tickets are $15 or $12 for military and seniors 62 and over. Kids 18 years and under are free.
Where is I-35 Speedway? The track is located at exit 64 off Interstate 35. Concessions are available throughout the facility. Large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, sweet funnel cakes, root beer floats an beverages of your choice are all available.
With clean restrooms and always free parking, where else would you be this Saturday other than I-35 Speedway?
