LEBANON, Mo. — Racing action was fast and furious Saturday night at the high banks of the I-44 Speedway with Fan Appreciation Night as adults in the grandstands watched the racing action for only $5.

In USRA Modified action, all eyes were on points leader Terry Beckham II to see if he could make it four in a row. Fuel pick-up problems, however, sent him to the pits during the pace lap.

Bobby Williams brought the field down to the green and jumped out in front with Jason Meadors close behind and Justin Neuman following.

The caution waved on lap 4 for Ted Ballinger as his early strong run ended with problems.

On the restart, Williams kept the middle groove working strong with Meadors close behind while Neuman was making a run to challange for second place and moved around Meadors on lap 7.

A quick yellow flew for sheet metal and on the restart Neuman tried a slide job to go underneath Williams for the lead, but Williams withstood the challange as Neuman spun in turn 2.

On the restart, Meadors mounted a challange along with Mookie Cunningham, but Williams withstood all pressure to grab his first ever USRA Modified feature win with Meadors, Cunningham, Neuman and Doug Crider following.

Action continues next Saturday night in the Central Bank Racing Series action with UMP Late Models, USRA Modifieds, B-Mods, Bombers, Factory Stocks and Rookies as the I-44 Speedway continues the Silver Anniversary season as grandstand admission for adults is $5 with kids 12 and under FREE while Tier admission is normal price with adults $12. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:30 sharp.
