Midway Speedway announces practice dates
LEBANON, Mo. -- The Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., has announced two scheduled practice dates for the upcoming 2008 racing season.
The track will host two Saturday afternoon dates with March 15 and March 22 being planned. Each day, drivers will be able to test and tune from 12 noon until around 3 p.m.
Pit gates will open at 11 a.m. with pit passes being $10 per person. Admission to the grandstand is free.
This will get the 2008 season kicked off as the track has a very action-packed schedule. The season opener is scheduled for Friday night, March 28, with racing scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
This season, the Midway Speedway will host the opening points race for the MLRA Super Late Models on April 4 while the O'Reilly Winged Outlaw Warrior (WOW) 360 Sprints will be in action on April 18.
On the season opener, the B-Modifieds will be competing for $500 to win. Regular racing includes USRA Modifieds, Superstock Sportsmans, Factory Stocks, Bombers, B-Mods, and 305 Winged Sprints, with special events including the Fastrak Midwest Regional Late Models, MLRA Late Models, DLRA Late Model, MARS Late Models, Winged Outlaw Warrior 360 Sprints, Show-Me Racin Series Late Models, Enduro races and the popular Modifieds from the O'Reilly USMTS National Tour as the track will host the first race in the Casey's General Stores Hunt for the USMTS National Championship.
