Questions regarding GM “RM” sealing bolts answered
ANKENY, Iowa - GM Performance Parts as announced the use of the current GM “RM” sealing bolts will continue, at least for the immediate future. The following information came to us this morning, in a communication from GM Performance Parts Representative, Bill Martens.
Martens stated, “Yes, we have elected to continue supplying GM "RM" bolts through June to allow for alternatives to be fully developed and in place. A formal communication will be going out to all normal channels of news distribution, no later than the first week of March. We felt that as good grassroots racing partners, it was premature to discontinue "RM" bolts without the benefit of some exciting new options that are working their way through the GM approval process at this time. For the time being: business as usual, no changes.”
From this comment, current GM Performance Parts crate engine competitors and those who are considering the use of GM Performance Parts crate engines, in the future, can now rest assure that GM Performance Parts is committed to the grass roots racer and they plan to continue the production and support for these durable, economical engines that are built and sealed at the factory by General Motors to prevent any expensive modifications.
