Early season action provides tight points battles in Lebanon
Tyler Knudtson is third in the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod points standing at the Lebanon Midway Speedway.
Heading into round 4 of the season Friday, it appears it could be a wide open season as several Out-Pace USRA B-Mod drivers are placing themselves into position for a championship run at the Lebanon Midway Speedway.
Defending national champion Kris Jackson of Lebanon has captured two of three features while defending track champion Sam Petty of Niangua has one feature win and keeps knocking down top-threes. He is just five points behind Jackson.
While the duo of Jackson and Petty keeps all eyes on the first-place battle, third-year driver Tyler Knudtson and young gun Dillion McCowan are starting to hit their stride and moving up in spots each week while Arkansas driver Kelly Hicks rides a solid top five in the current standings.
Dayton Pursley and Mitchell Franklin can really shuffle things up with the top runs they have when they enter the action April 26 while Jared Monger has flexed his muscle and shows to be a contender to visit victory lane. Brian Myers is sorting out his new car early too.
Gates open at 5 p.m. this Friday with hot laps at 7 and racing at 8. Drivers draw cut-off is 7:30.
Grandstand admission is only $12 with kids ages 6-12 $5 and under 6 free with discounted prices for seniors and military too. Adult pit passes are only $30 with kids ages 12 and under $10.
