With over 10 inches of rain this past week and lack of drying time, racing for Saturday, Oct. 13, is canceled at the I-35 Speedway. This makes three weeks that Mother Nature has decided we cannot race, but you know she is preparing to provide fantastic weather for the Summit USRA Nationals next week.

Make your plans to be part of the fun of the Summit USRA Nationals. Super exciting and close door-to-door racing action in the USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners begins with practice on Wednesday, Oct. 17. The always-exciting racing starts on Thursday, Oct. 18, continues Friday, Oct. 19, and leads up to the grand finale on Saturday, Oct. 20.

The pit gates opens at noon on Wednesday and Thursday at 2 p.m. (pit clearing time) on Friday and Saturday. The technical inspection barn opens at 1 p.m. each day. Grandstands for practice from 6-9 p.m. is free, and to enter the pits is $20. Thursday and Friday the grandstand price is $20 for adults with pit passes $35 and racing starts at 7 p.m.

The Summit USRA Nationals championship finale on Saturday starts at 6 p.m. with ticket prices of $25 for the grandstands or $40 to enter the pits. Children's prices all three nights are $10 for ages 12-16, $5 for ages 6-11 and free for kids ages 5 and under.

A live band will be playing after the races on Friday and is free to anybody with a grandstand ticket or pit pass.

The track is located at exit 64 off Interstate 35 (10 miles north of Cameron, Mo., or an hour north of Kansas City from I-435 to Hwy. 152 then north on I-35).

Concessions are available throughout the facility featuring large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, sweet funnel cakes, root beer floats and beverages of your choice are all available. The Trackside Bar & Grill overlooks turn 1 and is a great place to eat and watch the races at the same time. Super clean facility, always clean restrooms and free parking... where else would you be this weekend other than I-35 Speedway?

The Summit USRA Nationals will be racing Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-20, featuring USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners.
