The next round of Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action at the Lakeside Speedway takes place this Friday, May 18, for Casey’s General Stores Night featuring USRA Modifieds, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Holley USRA Stock Cars.

Just as Lakeside Speedway is celebrating 30 years of racing on the river’s edge, Casey’s General Stores is also celebrating a milestone anniversary. The first Casey’s store opened 50 years ago, and in celebration of Casey’s General Stores Night and anniversary, Lakeside Speedway will give away $50 Casey’s gift cards throughout the night’s race program.

Last week’s main-event winners included Brett Heeter with his second Holley USRA Stock Car taste of victory, Tim Powell for his fourth straight Out-Pace USRA B-Mod domination, and Darron Fuqua in USRA Modified action.

After a month’s worth of competition, current point leaders include Kevin Anderson (Holley USRA Stock Cars), Powell (Out-Pace USRA B-Mods) and Fuqua (USRA Modifieds).

Friday admission prices are $12 for general admission, seniors (65+) and military get in for $10, kids ages 7-12 are $6 and children ages 6 and under are free. Suites are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 2-12. Pit passes are $30 for adults or $10 for kids ages 6 and under.

Pits open at 4:30 p.m., spectator gates at 5, the drivers meeting is called to order at 6:30, hot laps begin at 6:45 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30. When at the track, tune your radio dial to 87.7 fm for a radio broadcast of all the action.

Grand Nationals, E-Mods and Four-Cylinders will also be on the racing card.
