Nix sweeps the night at Southern Oklahoma Speedway

Twenty-one USRA Modifieds took the green and C.A. Nix jumped out into the lead and stretched it out by a full straight-away before the first caution of many came out for a three-car pileup in turn two Saturday night at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway..

On the restart, Micky Lassiter, on the bottom, challenged the leader but Nix defended his position by protecting the bottom.

The second caution brought the field back together once again with Lassiter on the bottom and Mitchell Clement on the top behind Nix.

Clement tries to take him on the outside and Lassiter grabbed the bottom as they went three-deep and side-by-side off of turn four with Nix maintaining his lead by the flagstand.

Three laps later the caution came out again for Travis Johnson, taking him to the back of the field. On the restart, Nix caught his chasers off guard, changing his start pattern by starting the race quickly.

Clement took second from Lassiter and the three of them started to distance themselves from the rest of the field, but on the move in the back was Johnson.

Johnson was making his way through traffic when the caution came out two more times for wrecks on the back straight-away.

Nevertheless, Nix took the win with Clement second, Lassiter third and Johnson finishing fourth after making his way back through the field.

Finishing out the top five was Kevin Rutherford and Kyle Robinson.

Nix won his heat race, and then followed that up by leading every lap of the feature.
