After 21 races and 210 laps of racing Friday, the rain that had held off all evening finally fell on the Humboldt Speedway and forced the postponement of the $1,500-to-win Iron Man Challenge main event for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods during the King of America VII Modified Nationals presented by Summit Racing.

The skies opened up just as the 15th and final USMTS heat race took the green flag. Prior to Mother Nature’s unwelcomed visit, Out-Pace USA B-Mods completed five heat races and two “B” Mains.

The final USMTS heat and postponed Out-Pace USRA B-Mod main event will take place prior to the start of Saturday’s scheduled program of heat races, “B” Mains and $1,000-to-win “A” Main.

The USMTS Modifieds will close out the show with their $10,000-to-win, $1,000-to-start, 70-lap championship feature.

Racing is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. Spectator tickets are $25, kids ages 6-12 get in for $10 and children ages 5 and under are admitted free of charge.
