Zach Sanders won the USRA Modified feature.

WINSTON, Mo.—Opening ceremonies would start the night off right with Amy Dixon honored as I-35 Speedway Teacher of the Year. Amy is a teacher at Brookfield and very deserving of this award. Jamie King would sing our National Anthem with Motor Racing Outreach Chaplain Robbie Skipper saying our invocation. All Kids entering pits or grandstands would receive school supplies and many backpacks would be distributed.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods would again put on a show of epic proportions as the two heat race winners Steve Starmer and Zach Sanders would battle it out for the top spot. Starmer would use the extreme high line off turn number two taking the lead and charging on to his fourth win on the 2016 season at I-35 Speedway. Sanders would place second with Doug Keller moving through the pack to place third. Shadren Turner would hold off a charging Bud Wilson to place fourth moving Wilson to fifth

Like the B-Mods, Holley USRA Stock Cars would see the battle of heat race winners as well with Dean Wray and Jason Estes battling for the top spot. Wray would work his car to the front and hold off all challengers winning the feature holding Estes to place second. Third place would belong to Jeff Dixon with Mich Ross placing a very close fourth. Alvie Christofferson would recover from an early race mishap putting his #22X in the fifth finishing position.

Dean Wray won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

USRA Modifieds would see heat race winner Zach Sanders come back from a devastating roll one week ago to put his borrowed ride in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Sanders would work his way around one time leader Cory Wray who would fade to place third and other heat race winner Dennis Elliott who would end the feature second. Dylan Hoover, in his first appearance at I-35 Speedway would end the night fourth with Darren Shaw fifth. Money was added to the Hard Charger as there were co-winners with Darren Shaw and Clay Hale both collecting $40 for their efforts. The extra cash was donated by Carl Flower and Judy Staley Photography.

I-35 Speedway would like to thank all those that donated to Kids Night, Paula Murphy for all the Kids Goodies, Bob Reber and Judy Staley Photography for the bike donations, and Linda Howell for the scooters given away. Another great night of racing action in the books as we look forward to Smokin Barbecue and Beer Bash next Friday and Saturday. Remember to dress in that western style next week as we continue theme night at I-35 Speedway where there is always more “Dirt Trackin at its Best”!!!!!!
