Third year for USRA Modifieds at Fox Ridge

ARCADIA, Wis. -- Fox Ridge Speedway owners Dave Hesch and Jeff Reglin are once again pleased to announce that the Speedway has sanctioned their top Modified class with the United States Racing Association (USRA) for the upcoming 2006 Season.

“This division has continually helped us top our program with an excellent and exciting show for the past two years,” said Hesch during a recent press gathering, “For 2006, the combination of USRA Modifieds returning for another year, along with other exciting announcements we will be making over the next few days, we feel that we will be able to present the racing fans with one of the best nights of fun and on-track excitement to be found in the area.”

The relationship between the USRA and Fox Ridge Speedway has been a successful addition to the Speedway's existing commitment to the WISSOTA Promoters Association. Over the past two years, the combination has provided racers and fans alike with some of most exciting and exhilarating racing action in the area.

New this year is the national points fund established by the USRA to be paid over and above the weekly track points fund. USRA Modified drivers at Fox Ridge Speedway will be competing for the following track point fund:

1st place - $1,000

2nd place - $700

3rd place - $500

4th place - $400

5th place - $300

6th place - $250

7th place - $200

8th place - $175

9th place - $150

10th place - $125

Total - $3,800

Additionally, the following guaranteed minimum USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series national championship points fund for USRA Modifieds has been established:

1st place - $10,000

2nd place - $5,000

3rd place - $3,000

4th place - $2,000

5th place - $1,500

6th place - $1,000

7th place - $800

8th place - $700

9th place - $600

10th place - $500

Total - $25,100

For 2006, USRA licenses will remain $90 for Modified drivers. In addition, American Race Tires will be the Official Tire of the USRA. The American Racer G60 and KK704 tire is time-tested and proven to maintain a level playing field among competitors, and reign in costs for the drivers as well.

The tentative 2006 schedule for Fox Ridge Speedway (available at www.foxridgespeedway.com) consists of planned on-track excitement from WISSOTA Late Models, USRA Modifieds, USMTS Modifieds, WISSOTA Super Stocks, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Street Stocks and 4-Cylinder Hornets.
