West Liberty Raceway sanctions Modifieds, Stock Cars with USRA
Modifieds maneuver around West Liberty Raceway.
WEST LIBERTY, Iowa -- Officials from the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa, have announced that they will sanction their Modified and Stock Car classes with the United States Racing Association (USRA) for the 2006 racing season.
USRA Modified competitors will be racing for $1,000 to win the track championship and $10,000 to win the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series national title. Racers in the Stock Car division at the West Liberty Raceway will battle for a $700-to-win track championship and a $3,000 top prize in the Stock Car national championship.
With regular racing on Saturday nights, the historic Muscatine County Fairgrounds half-mile oval will also feature late model, limited late model and four-cylinder classes during their regular weekly program.
The West Liberty Raceway is located 2 blocks west of downtown West Liberty (at the junction of US 6 and SR 70) on 3rd Ave., then 2 blocks south on Calhoun St. (at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds).
