Dennis Elliott in victory lane after winning the July 25 make-up feature for the USRA Modifieds on Saturday, Aug. 15, at the I-35 Speedway.

WINSTON, Mo.—Kicking off the great evening of racing action on Malvern Trust & Savings Bank Night at the I-35 Speedway Saturday, the USRA Modifieds took to the track early for their make-up feature from July 25.

Jumping to an early lead from a front row starting spot, Dennis Elliott wheeled his way to the McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle.

The heat race winner led every circuit of the feature with the other heat race winner, Anthony Logston, having a strong showing and placing second.

Houston Johnson would cruised to a third-place finish with John Hanson placing fourth.

Austin Johnson rounded out the feature’s top five.

In a caution-plagued, time-shortened USRA B-Mod feature, Doug Keller and heat race winner Steve Starmer swapped the lead several times throughout the race.

When the checkers fell if was Keller in the McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle.

Starmer placed second on the night with Bud Wilson a close third.

Clint Baker and Nic Hanes were fourth and fifth.

Other heat race winners were Dustin Mille and Randy Ainsworth.

In a caution-free USRA Stock Car feature, the familiar face of Dean Wray held off the hard charge of heat race winner Jon Boller Jr. to claim the night’s top prize with Boller placing a close second.

Billie Hoover used the high line to perfection and placed third with Jeff Dixon racing his way to fourth.

Thomas Roberts rounded out the night’s top five.

Hats off to all the drivers in the USRA Stock Car class at I-35 Speedway for giving a lesson on driving perfection and fan entertainment.

The USRA Modifieds ended the night of racing with a second feature.

Heat race winner Steven Glenn used his front row starting spot to propel him out front as he led the majority of the feature, but Elliott searched high and low and found the low side to gain the advantage and take the lead from Glenn.

Elliott  claimed his second feature win of the night while Darren Shaw and Sam Florence both challenged Elliott in the latter stages only to place second and third.

Glenn faded late to place fourth with Anthony Logston notching another solid fifth-place finish.
