Sanders shines on Motorcycle Closeouts.com Night at I-35 Speedway
WINSTON, Mo.—USRA B-Mods would put on a display of epic driving skills as Shadren Turner #17t would battle side by side for the lead with the #5 of Dakota Foster. These two young guns of the sport prove the racing future is in great hand as Turner would see the checkers first and claim the night’s victory. Foster would place a close second and Steve Starmer #11s, challenging for the lead consistently, would finish third. Current point leader Tim Eaton #211 would again work traffic to perfection to finish fourth. Big mover of the feature was Randy Ainsworth #57, who would start in the ninth row, would charge to the front with a solid fifth place showing. Heat race winners included Shadren Turner #17t, Dakota Foster #5, and Josh Steele #94J.
USRA Stock Cars would see a lot of action in turn one of the first lap as several cars were involved in a mishap. When the field was realigned for a complete restart Thomas Roberts #65x would take the early lead. Roberts and Jason Estes #997 would trade the lead several times until Roberts would seem to have the clear advantage. As the race continued Jon Boller Jr #20x, running an extreme low line, would pass both front runners and pull ahead and on to victory lane. In a very emotional McCarthy Auto Group Winner’s Circle Jon would graciously dedicate this feature win to his step-son Conner Masoner who is battling Cancer. Heat race winner Jason Estes would place second, with other heat race winner Thomas Roberts third. Eddie Ingram #54 would hold off the hard charge of Bruce Fair #41 as they would finish fourth and fifth respectively.
USRA Modifieds would take to the track and prove again the best of the best race at I-35 Speedway. Heat race winner and 2014 track champion Zach Sanders #69 would take the early lead and never relinquish the top spot. Another dedication in victory lane as new father Zach Sanders would celebrate with new daughter Bailey. Sanders would be challenged throughout the feature by other heat race winner Robbie Reed #5. Reed would recover from a lap one miscue and race back to place second. Point leader Dennis Elliott #29 would race side by side with Ryan Schaffer #R21 to the checkers with Elliott third and Schaffer fourth. Shayne Bailey #5d would again be among the front runners and place fifth on the night.
I-35 Speedway would like to thank drivers and fans alike for another stellar night of racing action. Intermission would see a Tug-of-War contest on the front strait with fans and drivers all winning. We invite everyone back next week for Kaster Celebration Night at the races for more “Dirt Trackin at its Best”.
