WICHITA FALLS, Texas—With the excitement continuing to build for the 2014 racing season at the new Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas, track officials are pleased to announce that the Modified division will be sanctioned with USRA for the 2014 racing season.

The USRA rules package for the Modified division will allow area racers competing on Saturday night’s a great place to race on Friday at Red River Speedway, as their rules are compatible.

Red River Speedway was an asphalt track previously but has been converted to a full quarter-mile banked dirt speedway. The facility will be racing primarily on Friday nights beginning this spring.

The traveling stars of the USMTS will tackle the track for the first time on Friday, May 16, which will certainly be a must-see event. The full track schedule will be released soon.

Besides the dirt, extensive renovations have been made to the entire facility, with additional project work still underway.

One thing is for certain, when the former Red River Speedway race fans and racers return for the first time, they will see a complete transformation to the facility that will make for a fantastic home for dirt track racing in Wichita Falls for years to come.
