Christensen lands lucky 13 in I-90 Speedway victory lane

HARTFORD, S.D. -- "I guess the 13 isn't a bad number," exclaimed Miah Christensen after the USRA B-Mod feature Saturday at the I-90 Speedway.

Christensen, running the number 13m as a provisional driver for Marty Myers, got around Dennis Martin six laps into the 15-lap A-Main.

Christensen said he was happy to fill in for Myers during his National Guard stint. He came from the ninth starting position.

Dan Wheeler nearly stole the headlines though.  Wheeler had to go through the B-Main which he won handily.  After starting 16th in the feature, Wheeler worked his way to the front and was a real threat to Christensen.

Wheeler passed Martin on the final lap to score a very impressive second.  Martin crossed third followed by Dustin Kruse and Tyler Tesch.

The 360 Masters Classic for drivers 50 and over is next Saturday night, June 22.
