Rain halts racing at Boothill Speedway

GREENWOOD, La.—Saturday night’s Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action at Boothill Speedway saw 169 cars and drivers fill the pits for a packed evening of racing, but persistent rain forced the cancellation of the program after several heat races were completed.

The event, held at the renowned dirt track just outside of Shreveport featured competition in USRA B-Mods and Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks before weather intervened.

Following two USRA B-Mod heat races, a strong field of 54 Sunoco USRA Factory Stocks completed four of five scheduled heat races before the weather turned sour.

All races for the USRA Modifieds and USRA Limited Mods were washed out.

Boothill Speedway returns to racing on Saturday, May 24, for the Triple Crown Showdown, followed by the inaugural $30,000-to-win Sunoco USRA Factory Stock Spring Nationals, May 29-31. For more information, visit www.boothilldirt.com.
