FORT DODGE, Iowa -- Lance Deal of Fort Dodge picked up his third USRA Stock Car feature win of the season Friday at the Mineral City Speedway and pocketed $500 in the process on Community Tap Night.

Jeff Deal snared the runner-up spot while veteran Steve Jackson of Polk City took third. Churdan’s Jason Minnehan and Adam Silvey of Iowa Falls rounded out the top 5 finishers.

USRA B-Mod points leader Andy Tiernan of Woodward took the $300 in capturing his second main event of the 2012 campaign. Eric Elliott of Boone came from eighth on the starting grid to take second, followed by Waterloo’s Tyler Droste, Ben Kates of Tonganoxie, Kan., and Chase Ellingson of Iowa Falls.

Matt Mundt of Callender nabbed his first feature win of the year and took home the $300 top prize in the USRA Hobby Stock main event. Points leader Myles Michehl of Fort Dodge was second, Zach Angstrom of Gowrie took third, Bill Crimmins of Fort Dodge finished fourth and Jeff Lyon of Duncombe was fifth.

Action continues next Friday, June 15, with all six classes in action on the half-mile semi-banked dirt oval. The pit gate opens at 4 p.m., grandstand gates open at 5 and hot laps start at 7 with racing to follow. Adult grandstand tickets are $10, kids ages 13-16 are $6 and children ages 12 & under get in for free. Pit passes are $25.
