Canadian O’Conner visits victory lane at Grays Harbor Raceway
ELMA, Wash. -- The first night of the Spring Showdown was completed at the Grays Harbor Raceway despite a threatening forecast by the weather reports. The Elma 3/8-mile would play host to the season opening race for the American Sprint Car Series Northwest Region and the return of the Hobby Stocks and USRA Modifieds.
In the USRA Modifieds “Sir” Lawrence O’Conner of Port Hardy, B.C., Canada picked up the feature victory to become the third different winner in four features for the classification.
Sunday will be the second and final race of the Spring Showdown for the weekend. The ASCS Northwest Region will be back in action along with the USRA Modifieds and the Hobby Stocks. Front gates open at 4:30 and racing starting around 6:30.
