HUMBOLDT, Kan. -- The Humboldt Speedway wrapped up four nights of racing Saturday, and 13-year-old Trevor Hunt of Liberty, Mo., turned around three nights of struggles to score a dominating win in the 20-lap USRA B-Mod main event at the King of America II Modified Nationals.

With Nick Roberts – another teenager with a heavy right foot who won the main event here two weeks ago – joining him on the front row, and several speedy veterans right behind him, Hunt was in a class all by himself as he led every lap to garner the $1,000 winner’s share of the prize money.

Jeremy Chambers nipped Roberts for second after a hearty late-race battle while Scott Drake finished fourth and came up short of winning for the third straight night.

Nick Newton came from 13th to finish fifth, while Dustin Daniels, Wednesday winner Shawn Strong, Terry Burner, Steve Muilenburg and Jack Simmons rounded out the top 10.

The USRA B-Mods join the USRA Modifieds next Friday night, April 6, as the Humboldt Speedway kicks off the first week of weekly points racing.
