Rules Clarifications & Announcements
Effective July 1, 2011
Any competitor competing on tires other than the American Race G60 or KK704 will not earn USRA national points or be eligible for USRA national points funds. This rule will apply to all USRA track points funds unless clearly posted by each individual track.
Due to the EXTREME usage of the "gray" area in some USRA rules, a few items need to be addressed. These are NOT rules changes, but clarifications to try and keep things equal.
Stock Cars
Rule 10.3.1: All Carburetors must have stock OE casting numbers to identify carburetors make and specs at time of inspection.
Rule 15.2: Rear suspension must match frame with stock components and dimensions. Steel, polyurethane and/or OE rubber (in stock OE working order) type bushings are permitted. Mono ball or heim-style bushings are not allowed. Panhard bars are not allowed. A one (1) inch inspection hole in center section is recommended. May have fifty percent (50%) of rear spring in front of rear end housing.
B-Mods
Rule 8.4: Stock passenger car spindles only, must match side to side make and dimensions. Fabricated spindles are not allowed. Bottom A-frames cannot be altered, lightened or moved.
Rule 8.7: Two-link suspension only. Four-link and/or swing arm type suspensions are not allowed.
Rule 8.9.16: Progressive springs are not allowed except on the pull bar.
Rule 14.9: Automatic transmissions must have a guard two-hundred seventy (270) degrees around flex plate or flywheel, and must be constructed of at least one-quarter (1/4) inch steel. Alternatively, automatic transmissions may utilize an SFI-certified aftermarket guard. All flex plates must be SFI certified.
