Bone victorious in Humboldt Speedway opener
HUMBOLDT Kan. -- With all the improvements made over the winter to Humboldt Speedway, track conditions are wicked fast and “The Track That Action Built” is hotter than ever.
The USRA RHS Modified feature was won by Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., who has become quite the crowd favorite at “The Hummer” in recent years.
Bone sailed away early, but a terrific battle insued behind him as local legends John Allen and multi-time track champion Justin “Whitey” Folk traded places several times in the quest for second place.
Allen took charge of the position in the closing laps, leaving Folk to finish third.
Ryan Whitworth finished fourth and Brian Bolin rounded out the top five.
