Southern Thaw dressed to thrill March 15-23
The Southern Thaw USRA Stock Car Speedweek presented by RaceOnTexas is almost here. The nine-night, three-track trek through North Texas and into Oklahoma will feature more than $80,000 in prize money plus a hefty points fund to pad the racing budgets of USRA Stock Car racers for 2024.
The Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas, will host the mini-series openers on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16, and then the USRA Stock Cars head to the Hunt County Raceway in Greenville, Texas, on Monday and Tuesday, March 18-19.
Each event will pay $1,000 to win and no less than $100 to start the first night with the second night at each track paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start the main event.
The Rocket Raceway Park will host an open practice on Thursday, March 14, and the Hunt county Raceway will do the same on Sunday, March 17.
Action comes to an explosive conclusion at the Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Oklahoma, on Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, for the inaugural Stand On It Classic. Both nights will feature a main event paying $5,000 to the winner and no less than $500 to each USRA Stock Car driver that starts the feature.
