Lebanon Midway postponed to October 22 with added money

With constant rain and colder temps, action featuring Medieval USRA Stock Cars and USRA B-Mods at the Lebanon Midway Speedway has canceled for Friday night.

The track has rescheduled the racing program to next Friday, Oct. 22, which will feature added money and a trick-or-treat night for the kids at intermission.

The B-Mods will battle for $1,000 to win with the runner-up taking home $500 while the feature will pay $75 to start while the Stock Cars will compete for $750 to win with the runner-up pocketing $400 and $75 to start. Both classes will award Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series track, regional and national points.

There will be an open draw and passing points used to set the feature events.

Young gun and second-generation racer Dayton Pursley will head into the event as the USRA B-Mod track points leader with two-time national champion Kris Jackson in the runner-up spot while Wesley Briggs holds down third place. For Pursley, he won the last feature here and this is his second time as the track point leader.

Bryan White jumped to the track points lead after David Hendrix failed to start the feature the last race and dropped down to third in the Medieval USRA Stock Cars. The class has really caught the eye of the fans and the track with the outstanding performances they have been putting on during this fall season.

Drivers are urged to bring candy as this will be the trick-or-treat night at the track and currently looks to be the final race of the season. Action will also feature Super Stocks, Midwest Mods and Pure Stocks.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 and racing scheduled to start at 7:30. Draw cutoff will be 7:05. Drivers late after draw time will start at the back and will not earn passing points, only the heat race points awarded.
