Mother Nature takes another Friday night at Chateau Speedway

Nobody wants to complain about any rain that comes our way this summer, but for the fifth time this summer it has picked a Friday to drift through and took out another night of racing at Chateau Speedway.

With just nine nights or racing in this summer, attention now turns to a busy August.

The month kicks off next Friday, August 6, with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series feturing USRA Modifieds and USRA B-Mods plus the other four regular classes.

One of the favorite events of the season will take place on Friday, August 20, for Kids Night which will once again start out with kids' rides in the stock cars at 6:15 p.m., and then during the course of the night there will be bicycle giveaways as well as a free ice cream treat for kids 12 and younger.

On Friday, August 27, it’s the rescheduled Spirit of 83 Memorial featuring the Mike Guttormson Memorial USRA Modified feature event with the big payday. The event was scheduled to run during it's traditional Memorial Day Weekend but Mother Nature had other ideas this year.

The action continues into September with Season Championships and a national points special the first two weeks of the month.

Summer may be winding down but the action is still heating up at the Chateau Speedway. Check out chateauspeedway.com to learn more.
