Jackson wins nail-biter at Lebanon Midway Speedway

Defending USRA B-Mod national champion Kris Jackson took advantage with two laps to go and got by Tyler Knudtson to capture his fifth feature win of 2020 at the the Lebanon Midway Speedway.

A racy track greeted the S&S U-Pull-It Auto Parts USRA B-Mod field as Knudtson captured the pole and the invert for the feature with newcomer Justin Rigel to his outside with track points leader Dillon McCowan and Dayton Pursley in row 2 while Jackson was back in the 11th starting spot.

Knudtson grabbed the opening lead as McCowan, Rigel points runner-up John Seets III and Pursley followed closely.

As Knudtson stayed top side, McCowan was finding some grip down low as the duo were door to door with plenty of room between as Jackson was working traffic moving forward while Rigel was having a battle with Seets.

On lap 5, McCowan nipped Knudtson at the line as the leader but Knudtson came right back to command as Jackson moved to third place on lap 8 but wasn't gaining a lot of ground on the leaders.

The only caution of the feature waved on lap 10, bunching the pack together as McCowan picked the low side on the double-file restart. Knudtson fired as Jackson moved around McCowan and the race was on as Knudtson was holding the top side as Jackson went down low throught the middle of the track as McCowan was trying to keep pace.

Knudtson was fending back the charges of Jackson and was looking at his first win of the season until he jumped the cushion enough to get off the loud pedal and allowing Jackson to take the lead.

Knudtson gathered it back up and closed ground but Jackson held strong with Knudtson, McCowan, Seets and Pursley completing the top 5. Heat race winners were McCowan and Pursley.
