Trent Beaver won the USRA Limited Mod main event.

China Grove's Trent Beaver scored the USRA Limited Mod checkers on Friday night during AOC Auto Parts Night at the South Texas Speedway.

He grabbed his heat race win in dominating fashion on the opening night of the weekend twinbill and never looked back.

Beaver started outside pole in the feature and grabbed the lead after a duel with Johnny Torres and "The Beav" set sail, leading the rest of the way en route to his first-ever South Texas Speedway win.

Torres came home second, Jared Maupin was third, Cody Leonard finished fourth and Kris Rye rounded out the top five.

With the victory Beaver punched his ticket into the 2020 South Texas Speedway Championship Chase securing the sixth seed. Maupin, with his third-place finish, locked himself into the chase as points leader. Rye sits second, Johnny Torres is third, Mason Castaneda grabbed the fourth position and Leonard is fifth.

In the Sunoco USRA Factory Stock division, Dillon Gaither made the haul from San Antonio pay as he got around Memphis Villarreal in the closing laps of the AOC Auto Parts feature, assuming the point and the win.

Villarreal was second, Tryton Temple third, Stephan Danielsen fourth and Joshua Sewell fifth.
