Brandon Maitland won the USRA B-Mod main event.

The Mason City Motor Speedway welcomed a hearty crowd that was witness to some incredible two-, three- and sometimes four-wide battles on the newly-configured action track at the North Iowa Events Center on Sunday.

In the American Racer USRA Stock Car division, Joe Schmit of Ventura parlayed his pole position into a victory on the 1/3-mile black clay oval.

Nashua’s Jesse Brown won the previous night at the Hamilton County Speedway but had to settle for second place in Sunday’s main event.

Chanse Hollatz of Clear Lake, Andrew Borchardt of Plymouth and Blake Adams of McIntire completed the top five.

Joe Schmit won the American Racer USRA Stock Car main event.

Backing up his Christie Door Company Iron Man Challenge win last week, Brandon Maitland of Waterloo scored the victory in the USRA B-Mods.

Elma’s Brandon Hare settled for second followed by a trio of Mason City racers—Josh Appel, George Nordman and Jamie Anderson.

The Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock feature race went to Scott Dobel of Manly with Chris Hovden of Cresco second.

Derek Willert of Marble Rock, Zac Smith of Manly and Jeremy Crimmins of Fort Dodge finished third through fifth, respectively.

Scott Dobel won the Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stock main event.

The track will be dark for the Fourth of July weekend but returns to action again on Sunday, July 12, with Gambler's Night featuring USRA Modifieds, American Racer USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, Mensink Racing Products USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners.
